Voter Guide: 2026 Statewide General Election

Ballots have been mailed out, and early voting is already underway!

Our voter guide is being mailed out to our club members and is a handy and trusted guide for our recommendations and endorsed candidates that will primarily (no pun intended) be on the ballot for the Statewide General Election on November 3rd, 2026.

We have a no-frills, printer-friendly version of our voter guide available as well for your convenience.

If there are races and elections not on our club's voter guide, you can check out the San Diego County Democratic Party for additional recommendations.

Let's get out the vote for our candidates, for democracy, and for our values!

Virtual Club Meeting: October 15, 2026

Join us for our next virtual club meeting on Thursday, October 15th at 6:30pm!

We will hear from our amazing State Assemblymember Chris Ward who will update us on the legislative wins (and losses) in Sacramento, and priorities for the Legislative LGBTQ Caucus for next session.

We also will welcome all of our endorsed candidates to share GOTV updates for our members as we push forward to the election on November 3rd!

Hybrid Club Meeting: September 17, 2026

Join us for our next hybrid club meeting on Thursday, September 17th at 6:30pm!

The in-person meeting will be at R Place in Hillcrest. Otherwise, you can register for the Zoom meeting here at: democratsforequality.org/zoom

At our meeting this month, we will consider endorsements for 3 candidates who have already been endorsed by the San Diego County Democratic Party: Patrick Grillot for El Cajon City Council District 1, Aimee Cuellar-Martinez for Southwestern College Board Area 4, and Janette Gomez for Chula Vista Elementary School Board Seat 5.

Also, we will consider an action item on a Ranked Choice Voting proposal, as presented by The Justice Workshop.

Finally, we will hear a presentation from Public Power San Diego to bring a no-profit, publicly owned utility option to San Diego.

As summer season winds down, it's time to kick back into gear as the November 3rd election inches closer.
