With the Presidential Election quickly approaching, we cannot forget that control of the U.S. Senate is up for grabs. While President Biden and Congressmember Adam Schiff should be secure in their election bids here in California, our club can have an impact in other high-profile races across the country.
Therefore, we will consider formally endorsing three of those U.S. Senate candidates: openly LGBTQ+ Senator Tammy Baldwin (Wisconsin), and LGBTQ+ community allies Senator Jacky Rosen (Nevada) and neighboring Senate candidate Congressmember Ruben Gallego (Arizona). We've reached out to their campaigns to ask for campaign representatives to attend. Either way, each of their races are critically important, and to the extent that we can best assist we should move forward to officially support them.

We will also consider an endorsement for our friends and allies running again for Calexico City Council: Raul Ureña and Gilberto Manzanarez.
Locally, we will consider friendly incumbent endorsements for Oceanside Mayor Esther Sanchez, Carlsbad City Councilmember Teresa Acosta, and Lemon Grove School Board members Cheryl Robertson (for a full-term) and Jasmin Smith (for a short-term).
Finally, we will consider endorsement considerations for Carlsbad City Council District 2 and San Dieguito Union High School District Area 4.
It's a full agenda, but all of these races are uncontested so we should be able to get through this fairly efficiently and quickly!
