Our guest speaker will be our Chair of the San Diego County Democratic Party (and Immediate Past President of our club) Will Rodriguez-Kennedy.
As a DNC member, our party chair will update us on campaign conversations happening at the national level -- as well as our state and local levels -- as we inch closer to the 2022 midterms later this year.

Again, we are excited to have endorsed our former LGBTQ City Council President Georgette Gómez to succeed the legendary Lorena Gonzalez in Assembly District 80.
Georgette's election is PRIORITY ONE for our club!
The special election is coming up quickly on Tuesday, April 5th. Please donate, sign-up to walk, or help phone and text bank voters for this election! You can donate or sign-up on Georgette's campaign website here.
At our February club meeting, we will consider friendly incumbent endorsements in Congressional Districts 49, 50, and 52. We will also consider an endorsement for Chula Vista City Attorney.
Also, it's that time again to conduct elections for our club's executive board.
Positions up for election include:
- President
- Vice President for Resource Development
- Secretary
- North Coastal Area Director
- South Area Director
- At-Large Director
- At-Large Director
Nominees for club executive board positions must have been dues-paid members for 90 days prior to taking their office at our subsequent club meeting on Thursday, March 17th, 2022.

I intend on running again as Club President -- and that's all the campaigning I'll do here. Although, if your heart so desires to nominate me for re-election feel free to send an e-mail to the Nominations Committee.

Virtual Club Meeting: April 18th, 2024
Please join us for our next virtual club meeting on Thursday, April 18th at 6:30pm.
We will re-consider our friendly incumbent consideration for both seats on the Chula Vista Elementary School Board, and will entertain club members' Q&A with Cipriano Vargas about his re-election to Vista Unified School Board. Also, we will consider a friendly incumbent endorsement for North County Fire Protection District's Ross Pike. We will also consider an endorsement for Poway Unified School Board Area A, and depending on candidate availability, we may consider an early endorsement for Governor.
Virtual Club Meeting: March 21st, 2024
Join us for our next virtual club meeting on Thursday, March 21st at 6:30pm.
We will swear-in our newly elected and re-elected executive board members, and we'll review updated election results from local contests and highlight high-profile races happening across the state. As mentioned in our election update yesterday, we will consider consolidating our club's support for Adam Schiff for U.S. Senate.
Also, we'll consider friendly incumbent endorsements for both Chula Vista Elementary School Board seats, San Marcos Unified Area A, Vista Unified School Board, and will re-consider a formal endorsement for Lemon Grove Mayor.

Our voter guide is being mailed out to our club members and is a handy and trusted guide for our recommendations and endorsed candidates that will primarily (no pun intended) be on the ballot for the Presidential Primary Election on March 5th, 2024.
