ADEM (Assembly District Election Meetings) elections are held every two years and are an opportunity for us to elect delegates -- 7 female-identified, and 7 other-than-female-identified -- from each Assembly District to the California Democratic Party's State Central Committee.
For the first time since the pandemic, ADEM elections are happening in-person, and for convenience you can also request a ballot to vote.
If you'd like to vote in the ADEM elections by mail, please register for a ballot at this link BEFORE Saturday, December 31st at 12:00pm.
You can also register to vote in-person at this link, although be mindful of when your specific ADEM elections are happening! More on that below...
These ADEM elections will be the first cycle of electing candidates post-redistricting in our new Assembly Districts: ADs 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, and 80.
We are only highlighting our Dems 4 Equality club members running in each Assembly District. Remember, only 14 candidates are elected (7 female-identified, and 7 other-than-female-identified).

The club's executive board has recommended signing on as a co-sponsor to support proposed state legislation involving the LGBTQ+ community. The specifics are being kept private at this time, and we will have draft language and more to share at the meeting next week, but we wanted to formally notice that we will consider voting to co-sponsor this legislation.

Special Virtual Endorsement Meeting: February 2, 2025
Please join us for a special endorsement meeting via Zoom on Sunday, February 2nd (Groundhog Day) at 1:00pm. We will consider an endorsement in the upcoming special election for County Supervisor in District 1.
The special election for District 1 will be held using the post-2021 redistricting boundaries, which includes Chula Vista, Imperial Beach, National City, the City of San Diego neighborhoods of San Ysidro, Otay Mesa, Barrio Logan, Logan Heights, East Village, Golden Hill, Grant Hill, Lincoln Park, Memorial, Mount Hope, Mountain View, Nestor, Sherman Heights, Southcrest, Stockton and the unincorporated areas of Bonita, Sunnyside, Lincoln Acres, East Otay Mesa, La Presa, and parts of Spring Valley.
