Ryan Darsey serves as the club's Vice President for Resource Development.
A lifelong resident of San Diego, he got his start in Democratic Party politics by volunteering for Vice President Al Gore's 2000 campaign. In 2023, he was elected to serve as East Area Vice Chair of the San Diego County Democratic Party. He is a delegate to the California Democratic Party's State Central Committee, and also serves as the Vice President of the San Diego County Young Democrats.
In 2008, he was a Senior Field Organizer for the No on Prop 8 campaign, fighting against a statewide constitutional ban on marriage equality.
During the day, he works as Director of Community Engagement for San Diego City Councilmember Stephen Whitburn. Ryan is a 2013 graduate of the Young Professionals Council Academy at the San Diego LGBT Community Center.
