Ryan Trabuco is the 17th Club President of San Diego Democrats for Equality and has served in that role since 2019.
In 2020, he was elected to the San Diego County Democratic Party's Central Committee, representing Assembly District 77, and serves as an Executive Board Member of the California Democratic Party's State Central Committee. He also serves as the Club President of the Clairemont Democratic Club.
Within his community, he was elected to an unprecedented four terms as President of the Clairemont Town Council. In 2017, he was named President Emeritus for his years of service to the Clairemont community.
During the day, he works as a Community Representative and Legislative Assistant to County Supervisor Nora Vargas. Prior to his current role, he worked for the President pro Tempore of the California State Senate and for an Orange County Supervisor. In 2022, he was appointed by San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria to serve on the City of San Diego’s Human Relations Commission, and is the Vice Chair of the County’s LGBTQ&A Employee Resource Group.
Previously, he served two terms on San Diego County’s Alcohol and Drug Advisory Board (now the Behavioral Health Advisory Board), and as a Juvenile Justice Commissioner. Ryan is a 2018 graduate of the Young Professionals Council Academy at the San Diego LGBT Community Center.
